The Lodge

Mufindi Highland Lodge was built in 1997 on the 2000 acre private estate. Surrounded by tea plantations, montane forest and rural villages, the area is away from any tourist route and maintains a natural charm. The cabins are built from responsibly grown timber and the rocks are all local. Meats, dairy products and organically grown vegetables are all produced on the working farm.

Our Cabins and Chalets

We have 10 cosy wooden chalets with either twin or double beds. With homely decoration and an en-suite bathroom, guests will immediately feel relaxed.

The Chalet completes the accommodation with 2 huge bedrooms each with bathroom with shared upstairs lounge and balcony.

All of our chalets open out to stunning views across the valley, and are generously spaced out across the hilltop.

The Lodge has a honeymoon suite complete with log fire, and a similar room for celebrating anniversaries, but in this instance the room has provision for the children!

Dining and Bar

Our main lodge has an inviting sitting room, with sofas and a small library surrounding a big open fire. Beyond this is the dining room, which has 180 degree views onto the valley below. The whole lodge has a quaint and homely atmosphere that quickly seduces.

Upstairs is wooden clad, rather like an alpine chalet, with another living room with open fire, as well as separate sitting areas, a tv room and billiards table. Out the front is a long veranda from which you can watch the sun set over the lakes.
